Blip fully supports web series producers committed to making their shows successful and has very clearly defined ways for producers to join the Blip platform. Over the past few months, we have been reviewing the Blip content library and removing accounts that don’t meet our terms of service so we can better showcase committed producers and make it easier for viewers to discover great original content.

For examples of the type of content Blip is intended for, please visit our tour. If your account was removed and you feel we should take a second look, please create a new ticket at Producer Support. Blip appreciates the enthusiasm of the online video community and looks forward to maintaining a vibrant and diverse platform.

Lately some of the creators on Blip have been noticing that we’re policing the library of content much more closely.  After many years of being an open platform, we’ve begun to take our position of “the best” original web series much more seriously.

Unfortunately that means we have to make some tough decisions about how and where we direct Blip’s resources.  We’re a relatively small company, and hosting and serving videos from a totally independent technology platform is still a pretty expensive proposition.  From our point of view, it’s extremely important that we continue to support producers who are dedicated to their craft, but we can do that most effectively by focusing on fewer producers instead of hundreds of thousands.
